Park Naming Contest

The Town of Fogo Island is excited to share that our first accessible and inclusive park is coming soon, located along the pond behind Town Hall in Fogo Island Central. The Town of Fogo Island is inviting all students of Fogo Island Central Academy to participate in a contest to name our new park! Contest details will be provided by each homeroom teacher, along with a letter with more information for parents. The student with the winning name gets to celebrate with a pizza party for their entire homeroom class and will be invited to the park Grand Opening in June to cut the ribbon with Mayor Shea! We want to create a space where anyone in the community feels welcome; a place for everyone to enjoy nature together, no matter their age or mobility needs- because Inclusive Spaces Make Happy Faces!
