Starting on Monday, June 25th to Friday, June 29th BioMaxx Environmental will be performing Sanitary Sewer Smoke Testing on three of our sewer outfalls (one in Fogo and two in Joe Batt's Arm)
The following areas in Fogo will be affected:- Blandford's Road
- Country Road
- Humphrey's Lane
- Main Street (from Winnie Fords to Scott Harts)
- Mercer Memorial Drive
- Mercers Place
- Pickett's Road
- Pickett's Road Ext
The whole community of Joe Batt's Arm will be affected (This will not include residents of Barr'd Islands)
Jordan Bannister and Steve Evans will be on site working on the sewer smoke testing. There is a possibility that smoke will be seen coming up from manholes, cracks in streets, in homes or in yards. If you do notice smoke entering your home through a drain tap or cracked pipe please locate one of the smoke testing crew members and they will assist you in locating where the smoke entered your home.
The smoke being used in the smoke testing is called LiquiSmokeTM and is not harmful to you, your pets, or any house plants. The smoke will not harm or stain clothes, drapes, or furniture. It is not flammable and does not create a fire hazard.
If you see smoke in any of the places listed above, please DO NOT call your local fire departments as they have been made aware of the testing.
