The next Regular Council meeting is scheduled for May 29, 2018 at 7:00 PM.

The Town of Fogo Island along with its local community partners is offering students summer employment. Positions are available through Young Canada Works, Advanced Education and Skills and Canada Summer Jobs. Please read the entire ad as to not miss any requirements.

Deadline for resumes: May 28th at 3:00pm (Tourism office) or 4:00pm (main office)

The Town of Fogo Island and the Iceberg Arena will be hiring students to work with a "Food and Fun Camp for kids". (camp will take place at the stadium)
Interested students should drop resumes off to the Town office marked "FOOD CAMP" or at the stadium office. Duties will include planning daily activities, cooking, physical activities and lots of fun. There will be other programs offered pending approval of student funding. We plan to offer summer camp for 6 weeks at the stadium. This is a separate camp with sports, crafts, hikes, food events and special activities. Please feel free to contact the stadium for updates. 266-1111.

2 Labourers Required.

The Town of Fogo Island is seeking 2 People to help with Community Clean Up around Fogo Island.

Community Clean Up is taking place for approximately 3 weeks starting Tuesday May 22nd, 2018.

Workers will be required to work in conjunction with Town Workers and will be required to help gather and load materials into Loader.

Anyone interested can either drop by the Town Office or call and leave your name and telephone number.

Deadline for applying: Friday, May 11th @ 4:00 PM.

Call and book a space for your group($20) or do your spring cleanup and drop off / donate your unwanted goods to the stadium. Items must be in good condition please. Volunteers needed.

The Public Works Department would like to inform the residents that due to the weather conditions this morning, work scheduled for today on the Water Supply is cancelled and will now be rescheduled for Tuesday, April 10th to Thursday, April 12th, 2018 - flushing and cleaning the wet well, cleaning the screens and flushing the water lines through the fire hydrants all around the community.

Important Note: Water will now be turned off Tuesday April 10th from 9:00AM to 1:00PM for cleaning of the wet well.

While all this work is being done, residents may find some reduction in water pressure and there could also be some discoloration in the water system.

Council apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause.

A Meeting will be held on Tuesday April 10, at 7:00 PM in the Stadium Common Room. The purpose is to form a committee for the Swimming Pool Project for Fogo Island.
